I used to get my wife to sew an elastic band like these, and when somebody said they wanted one I started googling for competition. Found these, bought these, won't be making these. Lol. I love these and all the flavors/colors they have. Really good but come from Europe so shipping to US was slow. » 11/13/14 8:44am 11/13/14 8:44am

You still have to switch the accounts at the top of the menu, not combined. Also, threaded works in regular gmail accounts but exchange accounts in gmail are not coversations. I really hoped having exchange in the same app would allow the same things, but its like they just crammed the regular email app in with gmail… » 11/04/14 9:00am 11/04/14 9:00am

You mentioned leaving comments on other blogs. I do this sometimes on the blogs I follow, and to be honest the majority of my bigger traffic days come from leaving a link here in comments to my blog. Most of my posts are related to Macgyver Challenges. » 9/05/13 11:49am 9/05/13 11:49am

Late entry from the ipad. I made a crossfit gym/swing set/sports hitting net combo for my backyard. Climb rope, do pull-ups, swing, hit softballs and golfballs, etc. Pretty cheap to do it this way, and much more fun and functional than the traditional swing set. » 8/25/13 9:11pm 8/25/13 9:11pm

I made hitch rack for my truck that we used to put our coolers on for tailgating at NASCAR and other events. I made a frame that detaches from the lower legs and has a hitch tube going vertical from the center of it. Then I put a stub of hitch pipe turned up off the rack. Now we just roll the grill over to it, pick it… » 8/07/13 1:26pm 8/07/13 1:26pm

I took 2" pvc and cut a slot down the middle of a 24" peice and screwed them to the wall just outside our backdoor leading into the garage. We have a pretty active family so there are always a ton of shoes by the back door. This lets us organize them, and helps keep them up away from creepy crawlers. I made a waterproof canister speaker from a few common plumbing pieces, a 5 dollar set of computer speakers from big lots, batteries and a marine speaker. The electronics only take up about a quarter of the pipe, so it leaves lots of room for a dry box area. I attached a velcro band with a climbers hook to attach it… » 5/12/13 3:26pm 5/12/13 3:26pm

The "cards" I have seen have never been very card like. I took some cues from the music cards and custom made a simple circuit to keep it as card like as possible. Here is the finished one I made for my wife on valentines day. It folds, still fits in an envelope, and has some clever artwork to go with the nerd theme… » 5/07/13 11:44am 5/07/13 11:44am

Here is mine. I hate stuff in my pockets so I modified my stuff to help. Iphone 5 w/modified speck case. Installed elastic band to hold cards and money. Takes the need for a wallet out of the picture and keeps my most important items together. Keys ground down and sex bolt holding them together for serious savings on… » 3/29/13 11:16am 3/29/13 11:16am

Iphones change too often for me to keep a custom fit holder on tap. So I use a couple rubberbands on roadtrips to keep us heading in the right direction. Works really well, is super cheap and easy to make. I have a quick write up on how to do it at my blog - www.makemodhack.com » 12/11/12 11:58am 12/11/12 11:58am
